"My Dad hooked me up with Jean because I was unhappy in my job. I majored in history and geography and after graduation was offered a full-time job at a small company where I interned. It was o.k. but it didn't have anything to do with my majors. I was making good money but after about two years I started feeling depressed and dreaded going to work. I kept thinking I wanted to get a graduate degree but I had no idea what in.
I learned from Jean and her assessment the situations I work best (and worst) in, and how to set myself up for success in the future.
She then helped me think about what excited me, and gave me a interest assessment, and I realized that I would love to learn how to do GIS (Graphic Information System) mapping. She kept getting me to think about other things that interested me. That's when I told her how much I loved sports. She gave me an assignment to research jobs using GIS mapping in the sports field. I had no idea that these jobs even existed. This is when I got really excited and decided to get a graduate degree in Geographic Information Science from Georgia State.
Jean also gave me another assessment that helped me understand what motivates me and I realized that for me to be motivated I need to have someone expecting something from me. Otherwise, I feel really unmotivated.
Jean inspired me to pursue a career path that I know I will love.
I had a wonderful time working with Jean and would recommend her services to anyone struggling to find their career path."
